Greece: Car Market Report. Best-selling 25 Brands and Models ranking.

Accordingly with data released by Greek Association of Motor Vehicle Importers Representatives, in November 2013 the total new cars market in Greece was at 5.464 units, a spectacular 31.2% increase from November 2012. Thanks to this booming performance, year to date sales were finally positive at 54.587 units, up 0.1%.

Looking at the best brands performance:

Volkswagen outpaced again the rival Toyota booming sales at 13.3%, up 2.7 points from October, with 728 sales, pushed up by strong Golf registrations. Year-to-date Volkswagen was second with 5.849 sales and 10.7% of share, up 0.4 points from last year. Golf advanced in third place from the 6th doubling share from October. Polo ranked fifth.

Toyota ranked second with 641 sales and share slipped at 11.7%, down 1.6 points of share from the previous month. Year-to-date Toyota was leader with 6.0654 sales and a share of 11.1%, up 1.3 points from last year. Toyota Yaris was the market leader among models, while Auris was 9th.

Opel in third sold 567 cars with 10.4% of share, up 2.0 points from the previous month. Year-to-date Opel was third with 5.249 units and 9.6% of share, losing 2.5 points from full year 2012. Corsa was second and Astra 12th.

Ford was 4th with 369 units and 6.8% of share, up 0.3 points from October. Year to date Ford was 9th with 2.616 units and 4.8% of share, down 0.7 points from FY 2012. The bestselling model was Fiesta ranked 4th.

Hyundai ranked 5th with 294 sales and 5.4% of share, down 1.7 points. Year to date sales were 3.751 with a share of 6.9%, up 2.4 points from last year. The top model i20 slipped in 7th.

Toyota Yaris was market leader with 379 units and a share of 6.9%, down 1.3 points from the previous month. Year to date sales were 3.552 with a share of 6.6%.

Opel Corsa ranked second with 374 sales and a share of 6.8%, up 1.7 points from the previous month. Year to date sales were 3.051 with 5.6% of share.

Volkswagen Golf soared in third, up 3 spots, with 358 sales and a share of 6.6%, up 3.3 points from the previous month, followed by Ford Fiesta in 4th with 253 units and a share of 4.6% and Volkswagen Polo in 5th with 211 sales and a share of 3.9%.

Citroen C3 was 6th with 179 sales, followed by Hyundai i20 with 170, Nissan Micra with 139, Toyota Auris with 136.

Renault Clio jumped in 10th from 18th with 136 units
