Hungary Cars Market run the Q1 2015 in double-digit and March hits the 15 consecutive year on year growth in a row. Opel pushed up by the new market leader the compact SUV Mokka.

In March 2015 according to data released by MGSZ – Magyar Gépjármű Szövetség, the Hungarian Associations of Car Manufacturers, total new Car Passengers sold in Hungary have been 6.305,  up 2.3% compared with the correspondent month last year, posting the 15th year on year increase in a row.

First Quarter 2015 sales in Hungary have been 17.072, up 10.2% compared with Q1 2014.

It is amazing the battle for the leadership with three brands fighting hard. In the Q1 the leader was Skoda with 2.212 sales with 13.0% of market share.

Few units behind there was Opel, leader in March, with cumulative sales at 2.187 and share at 12.8%.

Third was Ford with 2.161 sales in the quarter.

As far as the car group’s performance, the leader was Volkswagen Group with 24.7% of market share in March followed by Renault-Nissan with 14.8% and General Motors at 11.2%.

As far as best-selling models, the  Opel Mokka was the new market leader with 1.244 sales in March and 1.548 in the quarter. Second was  Skoda Octavia with 400 sales in March (-5.4%(les (+25.2%) ahead of Opel Astra and Ford Focus.
