Iceland car sales boomed in the 2015 recovering a huge 47 percent from the previous year, hitting the best volume out of the last eight years. The Japanese Toyota was solid on top with wide gap over Volkswagen.
After many time we are now able again to report on the Iceland country, just become so popular in Europe thanks to the outstanding and warm performance scored by their football team.
In the 2015 total car sold in the island were 14.027, up a huge 47.1% from the previous year, keeping the outstanding and fast track of recovery after the 2009 financial crisis. The 2015 sales volume was the best out of last eight years.
Bet selling brand was Toyota with 2.638 sales (+52.4%) followed by Volkswagen with 1.363 (+2.7%), Kia with 1.348 (+58.7%), Skoda with 996 (+43.1%), Suzuki with 826 (+94.1%) and Hyundai with 817 (+61.0%).
