India New Vehicles Sales

India New Vehicles Sales kept the fast speed in July albeit concerns over the real GDP growth. The market scored the 21st year on year increase challenging the fourth rank in the World.

Market Outlook

India’s economy picked up in Q4 FY 2015, driving growth for the full fiscal year to accelerate to a six year high. However, the economy remains hampered by falling exports and shrinking fixed investment, and concerns over the methodology of the GDP series have led many of our panelists to believe that growth is being overestimated.

That’s not the case of the domestic new car market, able in July to score the twenty-first year on year increase in a string keeping an impressive growth speed.

According to data released by the SIAM, the Society of Indian Automotive Manufacturers, in July 2016 the car passenger’s sales in India had been 259.812, up 16.7%.

Year to date July sales have been 1.771.103, up 12.0% from the last year.
