Ireland: November 2013 Car Market Report. Best-selling 25 Brands & Models.

In November 2013,  accordingly with data released by the Society of Irish Motor Industry, total cars sold in Ireland were at 703, down 20.4% from last year, breaking a string of four growing month. Cumulated figures were 74.307, down 6.2% from 2012.

Looking at the top brands performances:

Volkswagen kept the momentum further improving the gap over the main competitors. Sales were 135 with share at 19.2%, up 2.8 points from the previous month. Year-to-date registrations were 9.517 with a share of 12.8%, up 0.1 points from full year 2012. Golf was the best-selling model.

Ford was 2th with 63 units and a share of 9.0%, up 2.0 points from the previous month. Year-to-date Ford was third with 7.542 sales and 10.2% of share, down 0.6 points from FY 2012. The best-selling models were Focus and Fiesta ranked in 6th.

Skoda kept the third place with 59 units and share flat at 8.4. Year-to-date Skoda was 7th with 4.907 sales and 6.6% of share, up 0.2 points from last year. The Top model was Fabia and Octavia.

Renault surged in fourth with 56 units and 8.0% of share, up 2.2 points from October. Year to date Renault was 11th with 3.303 sales, 4.4% of share, down 2.0 points from 2012.

Vauxhall (Opel) was 5th with 43 sales and 6.1% of share, down 1.2 points from October. Year to date Opel was 6th with 4.911 units and 6.6% of share, up 0.2 points from last year. Insignia was the best-selling model ranked in 5th.
