Israel Vehicle Market boomed 29% in June 2014 posting the sixth year on year increase in a row. Kia Picanto was back the best-selling model outpacing the Toyota Corolla while the last generation Mazda3 was third pushing Mazda performance up.

In June 2014 accordingly with data released by the Israeli Department of Transportation System total new Light Passenger Vehicles sold have been 23.074, booming 28.7% from year ago. First Half 2014 sales have been 135.496, up 21.0% from year ago.  

Hyundai was again on top of the list with 3.272 sales and 14.2% of share, down 2.7 points from May. First Half sales were 18.261 with share at 13.5%, down 1.6 points from last year. The i20 was the best Hyundai model ranking in 4th place with 1.018 sales while the i10 was sixth with 632.

Kia advanced in second place selling 2.842 units with 12.3% of share, up 2.5 points from May. In the first half Kia ranked third with 13.874 retails and 10.2% of share, up 0.3 points from year ago. The city car Picanto recovered the market leadership with 1.207 retails while Rio and Sportage were respectively 10th and 11th.

Toyota fell in third place retailing 2.350 cars with share at 10.2%, down 1.5 points from the previous month with cumulative sales at 15.374 and share at 11.3%, up 0.6 points from last year. The Corolla was second with 1.163 sales while leaded the first half ranking with 8.319 units.

Mazda was fourth with 1.748 sales and 7.6% of share, up 1.3 points from the previous month. Year to date sales were 10.152 with 7.5% of share, up 2.5 points from last year. The great protagonist of Mazda recovery was the last generation Mazda3 that in June advanced in third place with 1.155 sales.

Skoda ranked in fifth place selling 1.376 units with 6.0% of share, up 0.3 points from the previous month. Year to date sales were 7.669 with 5.7% of share, up 0.5 points from the previous month. The best model was the Octavia in seventh place with 614 retails.
