Market Outlook

The most recent data corroborate that the Japanese economy is far from achieving stable growth as private consumption remains weak and subdued global demand is weighing on imports. One of the several negative indicators is represented by the domestic vehicles sales, which in March ended the fiscal year with the seventh fall in a row, following the 2015 decline.

According to the data released by the JADAJAMA and JAIA, (the Japanese Associations of car manufacturers, importers and dealers), in March, the most important month of the year due to the end of local fiscal year, new vehicles sales were 634.532 units (-8.5%).

The first quarter 2016 reported a total of 1.467.237 vehicles sales in Q1 2016, down 6.9 compared to the same period last year.
