Latin America best-selling cars ranking in 2023 sees the Chevrolet Onix still as market leader (+0.8%). The Volkswagen Polo posts the best performance in the top 50, jumping 53 spots into 4th (+484.8%).
The Latin American best-selling cars ranking, despite reporting data from 41 countries, is heavily conditioned by the trend in the top markets (Brazil, Mexico, and Argentina), which count for nearly half of the regional sales.
The Chevrolet Onix, considering cumulative data from 2023, is still the market leader with 3.0% market share and 144,503 new sales (+0.8%). The Fiat Strada rises 1 spot in 2nd with 128,348 units sold (+8.0%), in front of the Toyota Hilux which reported 127,400 new vehicle registrations (-9.4%).
In 4th ranks the Volkswagen Polo with 123,043 sales (+484.8%), followed by the Hyundai HB20 with 103,932 units sold (+3.3%) and the Chevrolet Tracker with 102,476 new registrations (-7.5%).
The Fiat Cronos ranks in 7th with 97,974 sales (+20.7%) ahead of the Nissan Versa with 92,660 units sold (+42.6%) and the Renault Kwid with 92,435 units sold (+8.8%).
Closing the Top 10, the Hyundai Creta falls 3 spots from the previous year, recording 90,957 sales, a 5.3% loss from the previous year.
