Luxembourg Auto Market was  in first half 2014 with Volkswagen market leader, ahead of Audi and Renault. Preliminary data on third quarter were really positive. See all statistics on Brands, Groups & Models.

In first half 2014 according to data released by Statec, the Luxembourg Portal for Statistics, total new Car Passengers sold in Luxembourg have been 27.145, up 2.8% compared with the correspondent month last year.

Preliminary data on the Q3 2014 are almost positive with sales boomed (+14.6% July, +15.3% August and 13.4% September) compared with the correspondent period in 2013, posting a y.o.y. performance of +14.6% bringing registrations Year-to-date September sales at 38.147, +5.9% from the correspondent period last year.

Focus2move full year 2014 Car Market volume projection was increased at 49,100 representing a 5.5% increase from 2013.

Volkswagen confirmed the leadership with 3.517 until sales until June with market share at 13%, with sales volume down 10.6% compared with last year.

Second step of the podium was also confirmed by another brand of Volkswagen group, Audi, which was growing with first half sales at 2.712, up 2.3% confirming 10% market share.

Renault was at 3rd place of the ranking at the end of June with 2.681 registrations, but the podium was reached by BMW in July and confirmed year to date with 3.435 sales.

To be noticed great performances posted by Ford (7th with 1.343 sales, +26.5%), Hyundai (10t  with 1.020 sales, + 32%) and Skoda (11th with 872[fdb3]  units, +56.1%).
