New Zealand Best Selling Car Ranking in 2024 sees the Ford Ranger in 1st with 7,667 sales (+11.1%), followed by the Toyota RAV4 and the Toyota Hilux. The MG 4 jumped 37 spots and ranked 4th. The Kia Seltos and the Honda Jazz also made notable leaps into the Top 10.
Looking at cumulative sales up to November 2024, the Ford Ranger was still the best-selling car, holding a 8.9% market share with 10,284 new sales (+5.9%).
In second position ranked the Toyota RAV 4 with a 8.2% share and 9,544 new registrations (+14.7%), ahead of the Toyota Hilux with 6,877 sales (-13.5%).
The MG 4 -up 37 spots- ranked into 4th with 4,063 sales (+248.2%), followed by the Mitsubishi Triton -up 4 spots- with 4,062 new registrations (+32%).
The Mitsubishi ASX -up 6 spots- ranked in 6th with 3,527 sales (+24.5%), followed by the Mitsubishi Outlander -down 1 spot- with 3,116 registrations (-15.9%) and the Kia Seltos -up 18 spots- at 2,976 units sold (+79.4%).
At the bottom of the leaderboard, the Honda Jazz -up 14 spots- ranked in 9th with 2,699 sales (+55.2%) and the Suzuki Swift closed the Top 10, climbing 5 spots with 2,577 registrations (-30.4%).
