Norway best selling cars ranking in 2019 was dominated by the Tesla Model 3, holding 11.1% of market share. The Nissan Leaf – crumbling to 4.3% – fell in 3rd place, while the Audi e-Tron flew at 4th with 3.8% of share.
In Norway, the vehicles market deeply changed in recent years by the decision to boost zero-emission vehicles sales and the introduction of a medium terms incentive policy with EV fiscal cost at zero, including VAT and final price for consumers almost equivalent between a traditional combustion and AFVs.
Indeed, Norway is the World’s leader in green vehicle sales, and the result of this achievement is reflected in the market ranking, where in 2019 a single (electric) model – the Tesla Model 3 – held 11.1% of share, with a wide gap over the followers.
The Volkswagen Golf closed in 2nd position, registering an impressive growth during the last two years, moving from 2.1% in 2017 to 7.1%.
The third place was taken by the former leader – the Nissan Leaf – which has almost halved its market share from the previous year, holding just 4.3%. Meanwhile the Audi e-Tron – with 3.8% – jumped in 4th position.
