Pakistan Auto Sales boomed in the 2017 increasing over 18% and hitting the new all time record. Suzuki dominates the market with over 50% of market share, but Honda was the fastest growing brand, after launching the new BR-V.
Pakistani Economy has shown resilience and appears poised to turn in a strong performance this fiscal year on the back of broad-based expansions in the real and external sectors. Improved metrics in the agricultural sector and manufacturing-related investment in the industrial sector propelled growth in the first three months of FY 2018 (July–September). Furthermore, exports from July through November posted double-digit growth over 12 months ago, while remittances recorded a modest expansion.
Pakistani vehicles market in recent years has reacted promptly toe th 2013 fall with sales improved from 140.732 (2013) to a record of 226.141 (2015) before to decline at 208.998 last year. According to data released by the Pakistani Automotive Manufacturers Association, in the 2017 the market was sustained by a robust internal demand and hit the new all time record at 247.330 (+18.3%).
Suzuki dominates the market with 52.1% of market share and 128.860 sales (+18.67%) ahead of Toyota with 61.539 sales (-0.7%) and Honda with 47.446 (+49.7%).
As far as the best-selling models, the Toyota Corolla was again the first with 52.223 sales (-6.0%) followed by the Suzuki Mehran with 42.985 (+18.2%) and the Suzuki Wagon R with 24.247 (+86.8%).
