Portugal Car Market November 2013 Report. Renault shines.

According to data released by ACAP, the Portuguese Association of Car Producers, in November  2013 new cars car sold in Portugal were 8.781, up 23.1%, the 6th double digit increase in a string. Year to date sales were 97.123, up 9.2% from 2012.

Looking at the best brands performance:

Renault sold 1.131 units with share at 12.9%, up 0.6 points from October. Year-to-date sales were 11.120 with a share of 11.4, up 0.5 points from full year 2012.

Volkswagen‘s sales were strong in November with 963 registrations and a share of 11.0%, up 1.3 points from the previous month. Year-to-date Volkswagen was second with 9.430 sales and 9.7% of share, down 0.6 points from 2012

Peugeot in third sold 835 units with 9.5% of share, down 0.1 points from the previous month. Year-to-date sales were 8.663 with a share of 8.9%, up 0.1 points from last year.

BMW ranked fourth selling 588 vehicles with a share of 6.7%, down 1.2 points from the previous month. Year-to-date sales were 7.225 with a share of 7.4%, up 0.7 points from 2012.

Mercedes was fifth with 559 sales and a share of 6.4%, down 0.2 points from the previous month. Year-to-date Mercedes was 5th with 6.485 sales and 6.7% of share, up 0.9 points from 2012.
