Romania Vehicle Market boomed 24% in September where Dacia confirmed a strong leadership while Volkswagen is gaining terrain challenging the second place actually handled by Skoda. All statistics on Brands, Groups & Models.

In September 2014 according to data released by Romanian Department of Internal transportation, total new Car Passengers sold in Romania have been 5.571, up 24% compared with the correspondent month last year.

All the third quarter was positive and the last was the 5th consecutive growing month in a series.

Year-to-date September sales in Romania have been 51.564, up 25.5% from the correspondent period last year.

Focus2move full year 2014 Car Market volume projection was unchanged at 70.000 representing a 21.3% increase from 2013.

Dacia has confirmed a strong leadership over the domestic market with 1.445 sales in September and 16.361 year to date albeit it has registered -4.2% compared with last year.

Second place of the ranking was achieved by Volkswagen with 820 sales with a great improvement y.o.y. (+110.8%) followed by Skoda with 560 unit sold (+36.3).

In September great performances have been posted by Mazda (16th with 69 units, +97.1%), Seat (17th with 65 sales, +75.7%) and Ford (4th with 487 sales, + 70.9%).

Looking at the recently introduced report on Car Groups, the September leader was Renault-Nissan with 33.9% of market share, ahead of Volkswagen with 21.8% and Ford with 8.4%.

As far as model ranking report, Dacia Logan was strongly on top with 996 sales (+13.8%) ahead of Skoda Rapid with 235 (+139.8%) and Volkswagen Golf with 207 units (+127.5%).

Among the fastest growing model there was the Volkswagen Passat (8th with 156 units, +218.4%) with Renault Captur, Ford Focus, Fiat 500 and Renault Megane.
