Serbia: in 2013 Car Market fell at lowest in fifteen years. Fiat was market leader.

Pushed up by several actions to improve OEMs final year outlook, the Serbian car market boomed December registrations with sales at 1.885 units, up 64.6% from last year. However, full year sales were 21.914, down 4.8% from 2012 posting the 5th consecutive declining year in a row and the lowest in last 15.

Looking at the top brands performance:

Skoda pushed really hard in December with sales boomed at 551 units and market share flied at 29.2%, up 9.9 points of share from the previous month, outpacing Fiat. However, in the entire year, Skoda was second with 3.925 retails and 17.8% of share, up 2.8 points from 2012.

Fiat struggled in December under the Skoda attack and fell in second place selling 318 units with a share of 16.9%, down 5.2 points from the previous month. Full Year Fiat was market leader, outpacing Skoda, leader in 2012, with 4.482 retails and 20.3% of share, up 1.0 points from 2012.

Hyundai was stable in third selling 202 cars with a share of 10.7%, down 0.6 points of share from the previous month. Full Year sales were 1.917 with a share of 8.7%, up 0.8 points from last year.

Opel advanced in 4th, up 3 spots, with 115 retails and 6.1% of share, up 2.3 points from the previous month. Full Year Opel was 6th with 1.094 retails and 5.0% of share, down 1.0 points from 2012.

Ford surged in 5th, up 3 spots, with 91 sales and 4.8% of share, up 1.2 points from the previous month. Full Year Ford ranked 5th with 1.116 sales and 5.1% of share, down 2.4 points from the previous year.
