Slovenia: in June 2013 Renault share was 8 points up. Clio doubled sales.

June 2013 car passenger’s sales in Slovenia were flat from last year, with 5.845 registrations. Year-to-date sales were 28.837, up 1.8% from last year. Renault boomed sales driven by enormous Clio volume with share above 20%, up 8 points from previous month.

Renault must be considered a domestic producer in Slovenia, thanks to its Revoz factory, near Novo Mesto, one of the biggest industrial sites in this country, with around 3.000 workers. Last year, this modern factory output was for 131.000 vehicles, 98% of those were exported and only 900 sold locally. Clio, Twingo and now Captur are the produced models.

Local management had agreed with in-house trade union the switch to only two production shifts to avoid layoffs. The agreement will stay in place this year as well.

The most important markets for Revoz are France, Germany, Algeria, the Netherlands and Ital.
