Spain Auto Market kept the pace in June. Honda the fastest growing!

Spain Auto Market

Spain Auto Market kept the pace in June with the highest sales figure of the year. A shining Renault advanced on top of the list ahead of Opel and Volkswagen. Honda surprise growing over 84%.

Market Outlook

Spain’s economic recovery remained on track in the first quarter of the year as robust domestic demand drove another quarter of solid GDP growth. More recent data for the second quarter paint a slightly dimmer picture: industrial production decelerated in April and the composite PMI deteriorated in May.

Despite holding repeat elections on 26 June, political uncertainty appears set to linger in Spain as the results were broadly unchanged from December’s vote. No party won a clear majority, setting the stage for a second round of tough coalition negotiations.

Meantime, cars market kept the momentum in June with the highest sales figure of recent months.

According to data released by the ANIAC  and the ANIACAM, the Spanish Associations of Car Manufacturers and Dealers, the total new car passengers sold have been 124.350, up 11.7%.

Year to date sales had been 623.859, up 12.4% from the same period of the 2015.
