Toyota Global Sales Performance 2017 confirmed the global leadership among automotive brands, improved 2.3% thanks to the crucial contribution of Europe and the global success of the C-HR, already ranked as 8th best model for the brand

Following a 2010-2016 Compound Annual Growth Rate ((C.A.G.R) of 3.6%, 1 point below the industry average, in the 2017 Toyota reported a global growth of 2.4%, mainly thanks to the +14.0% scored in the European Community region and to the contribution of the new CH-R.

As reported in the table below, sales have been negative in North Africa (the Magreb area) in the Gulf Cooperation Council region and in the East Europe zone (including Turkey).

At model-wise, the top-selling model is, of course, the Corolla with 1.115.000 sales (-14.8%) followed by the Rav4 with 741.000 (+2.3%) and the Camry with 602.000 (-8.9%).

Toyota Global Performance Report

In our exclusive study we report sales, year by year, for each region. So it is visible the data that allowed to the Asian region to remain the most important for this brand with a 2017 mix of 52.2% (vs. 53.6% in the 2010). The second region is the American (North, Center and South) with 33.1% of total (vs. 28.7% in the 2010) while Europe counts only 9.6% in the 2017 vs 11.6% in the 2010.

The study reports annual sales for each country in the World and we track Toyota sales in 140 countries. On top of all, in the 2017 there was USA with 24.2% of global sales share (from 21.4% in the 2010), ahead of Japan with 18.2% (from 22.0%), China with 13.6% (from 11.6%), Indonesia with 4.5% and Thailand with 2.9%.
