Albeit Q4 recover the 2014 was a nightmare for the Turkish Vehicles Market, with sales fell 10% from the previous year. However all premium brand had been positive while Jeep was the emerging brand of the year.

In December 2014 according to data released by O.D.D., Otomotiv Distribütörleri Derneği, the total new Car Passengers sold in Turkey have been 146.989, up a robust 13.3% compared with the correspondent period last year.

Following a very harsh period, the last quarter was almost positive generating positive outlook for the next year.

Full Year 2014 sales in Turkey have been 767.691, down 10.0% from 2013.

The brands with a local production plant usually end the year very strong and this was the case for December looking at sales volume reported by the three carmakers in podium, Renault, Ford and Fiat.

However, the market leader in the full year was again Volkswagen with 108.647 sales, down 3.0% with a share of 14.2%.

The second was Renault with 98.743 units (-8.8%), followed by the Italian Fiat with 89.128 (-8.7%) and Ford with 86.833 (-19.7%).

All the Top 8 brands reported a year on year decline while the 9th, Mercedes, rose 2.2%. BMW did further better improving a wonderful 26.4% while Audi rose 18.8%. In a negative trend, premium brands have improved their volume.

In Turkey as in the rest of Europe a sensational noise was done by Jeep and the launch of new Renegade reinforced the already astonishing performance of the American brand, with annual sales up 101.4% at 1.960 units.

As far as the Car Groups performance and ranking the December leader was Renault Group with 21.3% of market share, ahead of Volkswagen with 17.4% and F.C.A. with 13.3%.

As far as best-selling models ranking, the December leader was Renault Fluence that more than doubled last year sales with 7.545 units, followed by Fiat Linea with 5.940 units (+39.5%) and Toyota Corolla with 5.321 (+42.2%).
