Ukraine: March 2013 Car Market dropped 17%. Lada in the worst ever quarter.

In March 2013 the Ukraine light passenger vehicles market posted 20.254 sales, down 17.5% from last year. First quarter 2013 sales were only 44.174, with a robust loss of 17.7%.

Hyundai confirmed its leadership selling 1.832 vehicles with a share of 9.0%, up 0.5 points of share from the previous month. First quarter sales were 3.914 with a share of 8.9%, up 0.2 points from Q4 2012. In the last 5 quarters Hyundai share was almost lower than 2011.

Geely was 2nd selling 1.509 units with a share of 7.5%, up 2.6 points of share from the previous month. First quarter sales were 3.071 with a share of 7.0%, up 1.7 points from Q4 2014. This was the best ever quarter for Geely in Ukraine.

Kia was 3rd selling 1.471 696 units with a share of 7.3%, up 1.0 points from the previous month. Year-to-date it was 4th selling 2.966 vehicles with a share of 6.7%, up 0.9 from the previous quarter.

Volkswagen was 4th selling 1.355 units with a share of 6.7%, down 1.3 points from the previous month. In the first quarter it was 2nd with 3.160 sales and a share of 7.2%, down 0.1 points from Q4 2012.

Nissan was 5th position, selling 1.341 vehicles with a share of 6.6%, flat from the previous month. First quarter sales were 2.959, with a share of 6.7%, up 1.6 from last quarter 2012. This was the best quarter ever for Nissan in this market.

Zaz was 6th with 1.320 sales and a share of 6.5%, up 0.1 points from the previous month. Year-to-date sales were 2.906 with a share of 6.6%, down 0.4 from the previous quarter.

Toyota was 7th selling 1.222 cars with a share of 6.0%, up 0.4 points from the previous month. In the first quarter it was 8th with 2.540 sales and a share of 5.7%, down 0.1 from the previous.

Lada is falling down and down. In March it was only 8th with 1.188 sales and a share of 5.9%, down 0.5 points of share from the previous month. In the first quarter it was 7th with 2.859 sales and a share of 6.5%, down 1.4 points from the previous quarter. This was the worst ever share for Lada in the market.
