World Best Selling Pick Up Ranking in 2023 lead by Ford F-Series as for the last 40 years. Global pick-up sales improved 3.9% in 2023 although the still high emission level and absence of electric models.
Over 6.2 million pick-up have been sold globally in 2023, with a marginal +3.9% increase from the previous year. While this big vehicles have a strong emission level and high consumption, they confirmed to be very popular, at least in some areas across the world.
Looking at the best selling models ranking, the leader is always the same, since over 40 years, and is the “American Style” icon, the Ford F-Series, still the best selling model in absolute in USA and Canada.
In 2023, Ford F-Series sales have been 901.569 (+13.4%) with a 14.5% of market share.
After two years spent in third place, in 2023 the Chevrolet Silverado was back in second place with 640.998 sales (+6.6%) overtaking the Toyota Hilux sold in 571.849 units (-7.7%). The Hilux, is the top selling pick up outside of North America. Smaller and more practical, the “king of the Desert” is affordable and high reliable for people travelling in Africa, Middle East and in all deserts, from Mongolia to Australia.
In fourth place there there was the Ram Pick-up with 520.578 sales (-4.6%), in front of the GMC Sierra in fifth place with 368.797 sales (+21.3%) and the Ford Ranger with 299.954 (+2.4%).
In 7th place the Toyota Tacoma with 258.452 units sold (-0.2%) followed by the Isuzu D-Max with 252.087 sales (-5.0%), the Toyota Tundra with 139.498 (+19.6%).
In 10th place the Fiat Strada with 128.348 (+8.0%).
