World Best Selling Small Car up to April 2024 under Toyota leadership. The world’s best selling small car is the Toyota Yaris with 175,621 sales (+3.4%) and a still wide gap over all followers.
The technological supremacy shown by Toyota when introduced the last generation Yaris, with the best-in-class small hybrid engine, is confirmed again by the global ranking in the car with a size around 4 meter, defined “Small Cars”.
Looking at cumulative sales up to April 2024 the world’s best selling small car is the Toyota Yaris with 175,621 sales (+3.4%) and a still wide gap over all followers.
In second place the Volkswagen Polo with 109,278 registrations (+17.1%), followed by the Dacia Sandero with 106,103 sales (+20.5%), supported by the additional sales from the hybrid version.
Under the podium the BYD Seagull jumps 178 spots into 4th with 99,116 sales and was just ahead of the Renault Clio -up 4 spots- with 89,526 units sold (+5.7%).
In sixth place the rising star, the Chinese Citroen C3 with 88,045 sales (+25.0%).
The Peugeot 208 ranks in 7th -down 4 spots- with 83,162 registrations (-6.4%), followed by the Saipa Pride/ 100-Series with 76,466 registrations (+4.0%), the Honda N-Box -down 3 spots- with 69,296 sales (-15.7%).
In 10th place the Opel Corsa with 68,801 sales (-10.8%).
