World’s Car Market Statistics. Top 50 Countries Ranking.

Accordingly with preliminary data collected by focus2move in all global car markets, the automotive global sector in September 2013 boomed 7.7%, the highest year on year increase since January 2013.

Global light vehicle market in September was at 7.1 million, up 0.5 million from 2012, with cumulated volume at 61.8 mln, up 4.1% from last year and projecting the new all-time record sales, at 83.2 million.

Booming by 27% compared with a weak September 2012, cars sold in China were 0.4 million more than last year, covering 80% of global improvement.

USA light vehicle market in September fell 4%, breaking a series of 27th consecutive growths, but Japan and United Kingdom, respectively third and fourth, posted great performances, growing 17.1% and 11.9% respectively, balancing the USA loss.

Among top ten countries, also Brazil, Germany, France and Canada were positive, while India and Russia were marginally down.

Thailand in 14th place reported the deepest September loss among all top 50 countries, losing 28.6% following the spectacular market boom reported last year pushed by huge incentive programs.

Australia was flat in the month of national politic elections. However, Australia keeps running towards the all-time record, as only others two markets in Top 25, Canada and Saudi Arabia.

Kazakhstan in 44th place was the fastest growing market in this list, up 50.0% from last year. This market is expected to join the Top 40 very soon.
